This is a comprehensive foot and general health examination after which we can discuss and make a treatment plan as to the best way to help you with your foot problem. This is mandatory for all new patients and may include a letter to your GP practice to advise of significant findings.
Once we have agreed a treatment plan, appointments can be arranged at a time to suit you. This may include cutting and filing toenails, painless and effective removal of hard skin and corns and a relaxing foot massage with an appropriately chosen foot cream. It includes an annual neurovascular review at no additional cost and with the confidence that you are receiving treatment from a fully qualified podiatrist.
This is an affordable nail cutting service for patients who attend clinic and do not need other podiatry services. As with all ongoing treatments, an annual neurovascular review will be provided.
Many people have unsightly thickened nails which can be hard to manage. This service targets the cause of the problem, which may be due to previous trauma to the nail-bed or ongoing fungal nail infection. Advice and treatment address the cause and painlessly reduce the thickened nails to enable easier management.
Ingrown toenails can be a problem at any age and cause ongoing pain and discomfort. Treatment can be aimed at managing the nails without surgery through helping the nail to grow at a less curved angle. Foot biomechanics may also cause added pressure on the toenail, which may be addressed with prescription insoles. If required, nail surgery, involving a local anaesthetic and chemical treatment to offer a permanent solution can be provided at a time convenient to you in order to involve minimal disruption to your lifestyle.
Verrucae are a common problem and can be hard to manage and confusing in terms of navigating treatment options available. The NHS no longer routinely provides treatments for verrucae. We can discuss treatment options available and provide treatment and guidance on managing painful verrucae
